The Global Network of Women Legislators in Defence, Security and Peace Portfolios (WLID) enables women legislators to share their experiences and knowledge, provide peer support, and identify supportive interventions to further enhance the contribution of women to more inclusive, peaceful, and prosperous societies.
The Parliamentary Centre currently serves as the Secretariat of the WLID Network.
Becoming a Member
WLID membership is open to any active and elected female legislator working towards returning democracy in their countries
As a network member, you will meet like-minded female legislators (virtually and in person), benefit from training and workshops on defence, security, and peace, and participate in regional and global activities and events that advance the Women, Defence, Security, and Peace agenda.
You will also have access to variety of resources on women, defence, security, and peace that will be shared by the Secretariat through a secure and member only platform.
